William H. Cooke a.k.a Eight
An augmented war veteran serving in the war a few years prior, he is the last survivor of his squad.
During his first and only deployment Eight lost all his sqaudmates and were badly injured, branded as a failure Eight was stripped of rank and pulled from the front lines.
Despite his losses, Eight appears upbeat and positive outwards, eager to show the world that he and his fallen comrades were not failures and that they were made to do great things.
A lot of Eights actions are often viewed as chaotic and random, which they are, a disjointed thought process makes Eight highly volatile and unpredictable.
Eight is thrilled to work for the police, even if it as a contractor.

Officer Jessica Loise
Once a bright and very promising police officer, now bitter and ruthless.
Loise graduated top of her class with a strong sense of justice and a drive to do what is right.
It did not take long into her career for her to realize how corrupt everything was, not just on the street but also within the Police force itself.
These days Loise has long given up on her strong ideals of what justice is, now she is trying to keep a low profile and is simply surviving paycheck to paycheck.
Her demeaner has become very apathy to the extend she would execute criminals and gang members on the spot if it meant less paperwork.

Summary
William aka Eight, is an augmented war veteran a product from the 10 year conflict with the neighboring country.
Eight and his squard were all wiped out during their first mission, leaving Eight crippled but alive.
Seen as a failure by his superiors Eight was relocated away from the front line until the end of the war, never to be allowed to avenge his comrades or fulfill his potential.
It wouldn't be until another couple of years before Eight gets his chance to show his worth and use his body for what it made to do.
The government in a desperate attempt to combat the rise of crimes has allowed augmented veterans to work in the police force as contracted mercenaries known as HOUNDS.
Eight is introduced to the less than excited Officer Jessica Loise.
Loise used to be a positive and aspiring officer, but has since become cold and heartless, with the amount of corruption within the police force and a high mortality rate of active officers, she can no longer effort compassion or to trust anyone.
I doesn't take the duo long to find themselves in trouble that leads to a larger conspiracy, they seek the aid from a private detective called Tusk.
Tusk is an augmented veteran like Eight but suffers from a bad case of augmentation psychosis that are triggered through violence.
To combat his condition, Tusk is obsessed with symmetry and balance and tries to achieve inner peace, he always carries cheap talismans and fortune cookies.
This is were this very unlikely buddie-cop team-up story begins, an overeager Augmented veteran ready to proof his worth with a questionable thought process, partnered with a less then motivated Officer with trust issues who's more interested in surviving and getting paid at the end of the week more than anything.
Alex Rivera a.k.a Tusk
A fellow augmented war veteran.
As the war was ending special augmented humans were created to assassinate the last of the opposing commanding officers to further expedite the end of the war.
Tusk has strong symptoms of Augment psychosis, if triggered Tusk is put into a frenzy state and becomes highly aggressive and unpredictable, henceforth Tusk is very adamant in resolving conflicts without violence.
Since his diagnosis, Tusk has be come obsessed with symmetry, hoping it would help him achieve balance and inner peace to hopefully one day help him control his Augment Psychosis.
In his quest he seeks spiritual guidance from the local fraudster Mr Ken whos only motive is to sell garbage occult items, cheap talismans and sell questionable fortune telling at best. Ironically enough most of the items and advice he receives from Mr ken helps him out in unexpected ways.
